NINA HOLMGREN

NINA is an award-winning Danish filmmaker.

Her unique background in fine art and as a former champion athlete, comes through effortlessly, never afraid of combining art forms or pushing boundaries by using the multitude of filmmaking tools at her disposal.

Her work is contemporary, and she has a remarkable eye combining storytelling and aesthetic expression creating her own heightened reality.

NINA has quickly established herself as a powerful and sought after voice in filmmaking, winning D&AD’s Best New Director and AICP’s Best Visual Style, and being awarded at Cannes Lions.

Her first short film “I Want You to Panic” commissioned by NOWNESS, is an artistic exploration of the indifference towards the climate crisis, which led her to win the Young Director Award at Cannes Lions.

NINA has worked with some of the most renowned brands across both the fashion and advertising industries, including Mercedes Benz, Adidas, Beats By Dre, and Vogue. At home directing superior actors like Matthew Macfadyen or global sports superstars Naomi Osaka and Lionel Messi, NINA is also in the cultural zeitgeist working with musicians such as Justine Skye, Stormzy and Vince Staples.
